Hello from Davie, Florida!

Hello! I’m brand new here, and I hope someone can help us. Our family rescued a sweet juvenile rooster who was loose on the road. He is safe in a crate on our screened patio, he's eating and drinking well, and he is very cute and friendly.

We need to find a home for him because we can’t have chickens per the HOA rules. Please let me know if anyone has ideas. My daughter is our local school’s farm girl, so thankfully she knows how to care for chickens. We’ve contacted everyone we can think of...local rescues, friends with backyard chickens, etc. I wish we could keep him, he is so sweet. We are in the Davie area. Thank you!

We live in south Florida. I think I found the Florida page and reposted to the Florida community. He's such a sweet rooster, the nicest one we've come across. But he's still young. His spurs are there and growing, but they aren't sharp yet.

I suggest you join local Facebook poultry groups and advertise him there. Somebody might be willing to take him off your hands. But bear in mind it does take time to rehome the males. Good luck!
