I'm a complete newbie owning chickens and am currently obsessed reading anything I can get my hands on. I have Easter Egger babies set to arrive in May, and am working on getting everything together. They will be joining 5 dogs, 2 cats, a cockatiel, a lovebird, zebra finches, a rabbit and a hamster. All live in peace in our ranch house on just under 1/2 an acre. I have tried to get a solid answer out of our town as to having chickens is "legal" or not, but have not come across anyone that knows anything. I live in Kent county and do not live in a deed restricted community, so here's hoping I get some answer before the babies arrive, but even if they say "no" I already have a friend who will take them for me.
