hello from Detroit, MI

Update on my broody hen: She is still going thru that stage and its been about 2 months. My husband does not want to traumatize her and let her go naturally thru that stage. She lost weight but her appetite is now increasing. She is taken out of her coop & locked out till evening. We make her scavenge for food & bring her fresh fruits and worms. She will eat them then she will start scavenging the yard.
If she sits down for too long we pick her up and move her to the patio and she loves the company and we feed her again. It seem she is becoming less and less cranky. LOL.
Will see!!! Ive been offered fertile eggs but would be unable to handle baby chicks. The coop to small and to many predators if they were to wander around the yard.

Thanks everyone for the replies. My chick is doing much much better now. We started feeding her mulberries from the backyard and bugs, and viola! She is really coming around.

I hope she continues to do well
