Hello from Dubuque, IA

I’m also in Dubuque. Keep an eye out for information on the annual Dubuque Tour of Coops. It would give you a chance to see some coop designs from local keepers. It’s been held the last three years in June. You can find the event page on Facebook.

Australorps are good birds. Their combs are on the shorter side and less prone to frostbite in the winter. Great layers too.

Greetings and welcome back to BYC! So glad you rejoined us. Hey, stuff happens and plans get delayed. It's all part of life. There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. The next coop I'll build will be a Woods style coop. If you have any building knowledge, you should be able to do so easily. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

Oh, if you haven't done so already, PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice. You know, climate issues and such. Old folks like me :old will never remember from this thread. To add it, mouse hover over Account top right and a drop down will appear. Click on Personal Details and scan down. You'll see the spot for Location. Then go to the bottom and save changes. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site!

Found the coop I’m going to build, only going to cost about 420.00 plus I will have to build a run for them but it’s a start. AF2958A9-3E6F-404A-B18D-9D17DBC22DB7.jpeg
