I just found out today one of my beautiful silkies is a rooster. Anyone near Chapel Hill want a beautiful silkie rooster? I haven't figured out which one of the three it is , but I have a feeling it is my favorite frizzle.

Durham is incredibly tough. The inspectors seem to have an outright adversarial attitude toward people who want to have chickens so I am not surprised the inspector flunked your coop. It is also appalling that the construction company you used is not helping you. Carolina Coops has meet with the inspectors to talk about wire gauge, etc. While you have already paid for a coop, perhaps Carolina Coops can help source wire they KNOW passes inspections. I am sorry you have run into this.
