All,
Just want to say hello. Have been on here a couple of times and decided to join. Raised chickens as a kid and my wife and I decided to get some again. About 40 years later, haha.
Born in April 2012
50 White Rock straight run (culled 25 roosters a couple weeks ago, kept one rooster)
25 Barred Rock hens
25 RIR hens (one turned out to be a rooster, keeping him for now)
Adopted some more form a relative whos grandchild abandoned. Born in May 2012
12 Brahma hens
8 New Hampshire hens
3 Spangled Hamburg hens
3 Gold Laced Wyondottes (1 rooster, 2 hens)
2 Black Stars (1 each sex)
1 Exotic (looks like a easter eager to me)
2 unknown (1 each sex)
I think there may be a couple more. We have between 105 and 115 chickens. I will post some pictures of the coop construction and the chickens in the next couple weeks.
Anyway, up to seven pullet eggs a day, so far.
