II Arrows
In the Brooder
I wanted to start here and say hello and to also add my first of many posts. My wife and I have been raising chickens for well over 2 years now and I can honestly say that we truly enjoy having them around the backyard. We enjoy their delicious fresh eggs and there antics, they are crazy! My wife was dead against keeping chickens in the very beginning and now she's that crazy chicken lady.
We had to learn a lot, and a lot of it was trial and error. We Lost a few chickens along the way, 1 to sour crop and 3 more to a neighbors dog. Currently we have an established flock of 8 standard sized chickens. We have 2 Buff Orpington's with one being the "Queen" < Top of the pecking order. We also have 2 Black Australorps, 2 RIR's, 1 Barred Rock, and 1 Red Comet named Scratch, She's my buddy. My wife recently got 2 Frizzle chicks that currently reside in our bathroom. I look forward to learning a lot here, and I'm sure I will.
