My wife along with our two year old are about to become chicken people!! Our girls should arrive April 5th. We are excited to get started any advice is appreciated
We are getting
4-buff orphs
4-barred Rock
4-new Hampshire reds
4- silver laced Wyandotte

Looking forward to any help for these first timers

Where are you in Ohio? We are also in eastern Ohio and becoming a new chick family. How are the chicks doing? What hatchery did you get them from? Sorry for many questions, just new and I'd love to hear from someone close to where we are that's new also.

We are near Shadyside in Belmont county. Just got 16 chicks from Meyer Hatchery in northern Ohio. They are doing well. Trying to get temps adjusted 2nd day at home and had a few with pastey butt

Cool beans!! We got them from Meyer Hatchery also. We are little south of ya'll in Utica (off 13). We got a mixture, including 2 freebies. Getting 5 in May and 4 in July.
So glad to meet you guys. Only thing having issues with right now is I want more (of course) and size of my coop isn't good enough. I keep looking into different ideas lol.
