Hi, I'm Dave. I saw that "how they grow chickens commercially" video one too many times last year

and decided to build my own coop and run. So last January I looked around this site at different coops (very helpful) and went to work. Ended up with a 3 x 4 x 10' coop along side a 10 x 20 x 5'7" run. Started with four Red Stars and now have six girls that I think are pretty happy with their digs

. I'm not wringing any necks, just producing eggs and having fun.

See the lizard on the post hamming it up? Had no idea he was there when I took the pic haha.

Nice looking set-up and a very pretty lizard!

Thanks for the welcome folks and I KNOW drumstick. If something wanders in to the enclosure it most likely isn't getting out!

Hi,
I just saw your post, great coop!
We had 2 red star and one disappeared :( We want an other pullet, but the guy we had them from doesn't have any for sale for now... do you know where I can buy a young one in the area? I went online, found a few websites but shipping is insane just for one. It doesn't have to be a red star, but want definitely a social and egg producer one. If you know anybody, it would be very nice :) Thanks!
