Hello everyone,
My wife and I are long time stalkers and now first time posters. Let me start by saying that this site and it's members are a godsend. The poultry raising hobby/lifestyle can be very nerve wracking for the newly initiated. We purchased our first 15 chickens about two and a half years ago. They were all supposed to be pullets, however we soon realized that we had 14 hens and 1 roo. We started with a mix of easter eggers, buff orphingtons, red stars, barred rocks, and silver laced wynadotes. Our roo ended up being a beautiful EE'ger. Of course we also purchased a few ducks, pekins, swedes, and muscovies. Last year we became friends with another poultry enthusiast who lives near us, and he hatched our first set of eggs from our farm. We quickly became hooked. This christmas we purchased a Rcom 20 pro incubator and have been hatching our own eggs. We absolutely love it! So just wanted to drop a message introducing ourselves and say thank you again for being a fantastic community!
