I have been lurking this site for about a year as I dreamed of owning my very own chickens. This spring we got some and I have been having so much fun getting to know them. I decided to go ahead and officially register so I could post since I am now a chicken owner instead of a wannabe chicken owner.
Here is the questionnaire thingy.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have six right now
(3) What breeds do you have? 2 SLW, 1 barred rock, 3 speckled sussex
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
a google search about owning urban chickens
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
gardening, felting, and all things crafty.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have two children (3 if you count the husband,) a cat, and a labradoodle.
I am a mother and a freelance writer. My goal is to eventually convert our entire suburban property into an edible living space.
