Hi! I look at this site every now and then, mainly the peafowl section, because it is very interesting! I really love reading all the topics they are all really great and I love seeing other people's peafowl. Soon I might make a topic showing pictures of my birds but until then I want to say hi!
I will give you a bit of background:
I only have one type of bird and that is peafowl. I have 5 to be exact.
1. Ice- My three year old blackshoulder hen from the zoo.
2. Pip- My really small yearling India blue peahen.
3. Damsel- My yearling pied peahen that none of the males display for.
4. Dragon- My beautiful three year old pied white eyed male that is as sweet as can be.
5. Alto (Spanish for tall)- My very unique yearling India blue male that is really funny to watch.
All five live in a 40x50 ft. aviary with a 15ft tall netting overtop. The pen is all planted with grass, flowers, 2 trees, bamboo, ect.
We are thinking about having just one turkey, but who knows.
Anyways after a while of visiting this site sometimes I decided it was interesting so I wanted to join!
So I am looking forward to getting to know how everyone takes care of their birds and what kinds of birdies everyone has.
