Hi, my name is Stefanina and I live in Gainesville Florida.
While I do not have chickens yet, they are in the plans and I hope to get them in next year's hatching.
Gainesville recently modified the ordinance on keeping chickens inside city limits, so I can keep up to ten, although I honestly don't plan on having more than six.
I have kept chicken before, but that was on a much larger property that qualified as a small farm, and we raised chickens for meat as well as eggs, so I had high turnover of birds.
I'm currently doing research on chicken tractors with the aim to build one over the next few months, and that is how I found this site. I'm looking for lightweight sine this will be handled by two women, but it does have to be able to protect by birds from possums, racoons, hawks, and sometimes even foxes and coyotes. (Yes, in town!)
