Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Make sure that you set the timer on your light so that the light comes on in the morning before the sun comes up (maybe about 5 pm), and not after the sun goes down, or you can really mess up your hens roosting cycle which will have a negative long term effect on their lay rate. You have some wonderful layers. Black Sex Links are my favorites; hardy and friendly, egg laying machines. I've raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds), and they have been my best layers, consistently churning out more than 300 eggs per hen per year.
