Hello from Fort Collins, CO

I'm new to chickens and and the site. My husband & I just bought a house on an acre in Fort Collins, CO, zoned for farming. Figured we better play the part! I've always loved vegetable gardening--I grew up picking tomatoes out of my granny's garden in Texas. After reading about John Silveira's chicken coop & garden idea, my husband & I were sold. We now have 6 chicks--Buff Orpington, Delaware, Salmon Faverolles, Barred Rock, Partridge Wyandotte, and Light Brahma--aged from 1-5 weeks. Looking forward to our new adventure!

Welcome, also, Neighbor! We're in N. FC, West of Wellington. New to chickens, too, and having great fun with them. Ours are about 5-6 weeks, and just today we put them out in the 'chicken dome', the portable screened room, they love it. I've found some wonderful information on this site.
