Hello all..
I am somewhat new to chickens. I have a "bachelor flock" (?) of 4 roosters. The flock started 2 years ago when a beautiful silvery white-grey rooster (Kevin) began roosting in a tree just outside my office. During the day Kevin, would roam an area of about a mile around the property of my facility compound.Since that time, 3 additional young roosters have been dropped off or shown up to join Kevin. Now, they all roam the grounds all day until tge 3 part ways from Kevin. Kevin goes to his tree and the other three to another tree across a small access road.
I do not know Kevin's breed or that of the others. I have not looked up the breed of the 3 new roosters, mainly because I am still trying to find out about Kevin. I enjoy Kevin's unique personality and how much he enjoys interacting with us. He will sit at the picnic table watching myself and my coworkers talk. We keep waiting for him to join in because he looks from one to the other as we speak like a person would.
I found BYC on Google while trying to find information about my roosters' breeds. I hope to find out information to be a better informed chicken facilitator (I'm not certain I can be called owner of my roaming boys).
