Hi,
My wife got Chicken Fever a month ago, it is a rare strain of the H1N80 Bird Flu; the main symptom is that the price of eggs skyrockets to around $80/dozen. Unfortunately, Chicken Fever is contagious and now I have a touch of it myself.
Actually, we are having fun with the ladies and are looking forward to some "farm-fresh" eggs in a couple months. We have 5 Rhode Island Reds and 1 (soon to be 2) Black Australorps. Our main focus now is working on the coop and run; they are usable, but we are in the process of making them better.
Rick
