I've been lurking for the last four months or so getting some great information from everyone here. THANK YOU! Sorry for shouting.
I am now the proud papa of five Black Australorp hens. I got six when they were one week old and I now have five at 10 weeks old. About two weeks ago I let them out of the coop and only five came out. I looked inside and found one flat, literally flat, on it's chest with legs sticking straight out. She must have been smoothered.
Anyways I'm really enjoying my first flock and hope to give back to this great community.
