Hello from Gloucester, VA!

First, let me say that I don't have a farm.

FultonFarm is a play on terms as we are in a rural neighborhood of a thriving county however we are not a farm by any means. 2 years ago, Darren (my husband) and I began an organic garden, raised 2 laying hens with a make-shift chicken tractor and then started composting. Oh yeah, I canned preserves and apple butter for the first time too. We have 2 cats and recently had 3 (pet) snakes. We were jokingly called Fulton Farm & Homestead so I made my canning labels to reference that and our friends and family get a kick out it. I am excited to be able to learn from all of you experts and tried & true chicken people!

We've had chickens forever, but like you, we dont have a farm either.

i guess its only a dream at this moment in my life.

I'm not a farm either! Wishful thinking! Hoping that if the husband sees it enough he'll be more willing to humor me! We're from a smaller neighborhood in Chesterfield, Virginia!
