My husband (and our two cats) have started working on a chicken coop based largely on coops I found here back in August. I got some hatching eggs from a friend of the family, but they don't seem to be doing well (they're on day 12). I am currently chicken-less, but I'm working on it! I have a brooder and an old rabbit hutch that could be a coop, but I want a much better coop than that for my future ladies.
He raised turkeys and I raised chickens when we were kids, so it only seems natural we have some kind of feathered creature around. Originally I was going to go with quail, because they are quieter, but who can pass up all these lovely chickens?
