Hi y'all I'm MamaHynne, new to this site, so I'm introducing myself. I have 29 chickens right now. Some I rescued, so I bought, and some that were given to me. Right now,most of my girls are free-range during the day and go into the coop/brooding house at night. They bring me such joy. Out of the 29, 7 are 5-11 day old pullets (1 Rhode Island Red, 2 assorted Bantams, 2 Dominques,2 Cornish Rocks) , 9 are 6 week pullets and roosters (2 White Laced, 2 Gold Laced and 2 Silver Laced Wyandotes with 3 Rhode Island Reds (I'm still trying to figure out their sex), 10 are 9weeks old (game hen for a mom and Red Phoenix for Dad--these are funny looking because they have lime green or olive-gray legs/feet with Buff/brown/red colored feathers as well as some are black and honey brown. I have 3 Aracuanas who are roughly 4 months old they look like dirty feather dusters.
I really enjoy this hobby of mine and am looking to share info, pictures and stories with other chicken enthusiasts. All of my chickens are my babies and I love them. I look forward to getting fresh eggs one day, but I certainly get much pleasure from watching them grow everyday.
