Hi All!
Stacy here, well and my husband Brett. We are new to the chicken community and bought 6 chickens from Tractor Supply in March 2017. We just started getting eggs!!!! whooohooo!!!
Looking forward to connecting with other backyard chicken owners!
So here is the information template for anyone interested...
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes, March 2017
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 6
(3) What breeds do you have? 2 Leghorns; 2 black ones; 2 brown ones.. ok, bad chicken owner! (names are Foghorn, Leghorn, Lucy, Dumbass, Chip and Dip)
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Googled if i could eat the shell less eggs from one of my chickens and this website came up.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? None for me as i work a lot and commute 2 hours a day. I am also studying for my CMA. Sometimes I sell Norwex products, but I don't always have time for that. My husband's hobby is shooting pistol and reloading bullets.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am a plant controller for a manufacturing company and my husband is a surg-tech specializing in hip and knee replacements. We have a dog that isn't ours. My adult daughter lives with us and he belongs to her. Weezy (the dog) is a chiweenie and like to chase the chickens around. Even though he belongs to my daughter, he likes me best!
