Hello BYC. I am an environmentalist on the shores of Grand Lake. I was referred here by some folks selling Chickens at the Swap Meet west of Grove, OK. They had several different breeds including some Black Jersey Giants and some Naked-Necked Chickens. I asked them if they had ever bred the Naked Neck gene into Jersey Giants and thats when they told me about this site and that there was a member here that was doing just that. I would be very interested in his results.

I've raised a few Chickens, ducks and a guinea; lots of tasty rabbits, cats, dogs, snakes, a pig and various rodents. Got room to get some poultry again and would like to breed them and eat them this time around. Whe I recued 5 unwanted Gerbils several years back I bagan my own little breeding program trying to determine just who had what genes in them. With several genes at work and completely unknown genetics it became an interesting puzzle which I had fun solving. At that point I had 60 Gerbils, LOL. I strongly recomment these rodents over any other for pets. They are low odor and no visitors realized they were even there. Now I would like to play with some chicken genes, Muahahahaha!

I am interested in scaleless chickens and would like to acquire some. I contacted Professor Cahaner in Isreal, who was working on a cross with a broiler breed in an attempt to create a useful scaleless broiler. Unfortunately he could not send any to me because of the law. The are always pesky laws trying to infringe upon my freedom. Cahaner referred me to The University of California, but as yet no response there. Any information on where I can acquire such a beast would be appreciated.

Thanks to you all.
