Hello from Hatteras Island

Hi BYC friends.

We are a new crazy chicken family on Hatteras Island, NC. We currently have 12 hens that are all 1 year old. We are owned by 2 White Rocks, 2 Partridge Rocks, 2 Barred Rocks, 2 Golden Buffs, 3 Crested Cream Legbars and 1 Rhode Island Red hen. 11 lay eggs and one is a free loader but we love them all.

Welcome from Southeast Missouri! I am curious what you did with your chickens during the hurricane? Keep them locked in the coop? Let them run free? Nothing different?
We don't have a lot of high wind here, but when we do it is without warning, mostly. My chickens are petrified, and stand in the corner of the run with no protection whatsoever.
