Welcome... From the Inland Empire in So. Cal. --
Roosters can become aggressive... you have to hold them, feed them by hand, talk to them, etc.. and, if they ever, ever "go after" a human being... one time, the first time... it is time to send them as they say here to "Freezer Camp". They can be dangerous, they can put your eye out, or cut you badly... they will attack children and pets and senior citizens alike. They have to go... SOUP!
There are a few people here who will suggest some solutions to "tame them".. up to you... but, take no chances. I have seem an aggressive rooster fly up and cut the face, near the eye of a 6'4" man.... nearly putting his eye out. He went to the BBQ the next day, and need to.
So... enjoy your chickens, love them.. but, be a realist. They get worms, mites, sick, aggressive roos, etc... there is lots of cleaning and all to do... it is not as easy as some think. Hang in there.
Take care.. from So. CA.
