Had him for 2 years now. He fights me when I transfer his 3 hens from the coop to the small cages and vice versa.

Glad you could join the flock! Lovely rooster you have their. Yes they can be quite aggressive when you mess with their girls. Thankfully my 2 are ok and are not that fussed. The one I hatched and raised is super friendly loves lap sitting and cuddles. The other that I bought in is not so into sitting on your lap, he's friendly enough though to stroke and to check him over.

Very pretty boy you have there! Yes, I will mist my birds on very hot days. Don't get them too drenched however. Wet matted feathers can overheat them as well.
I use sand in my run. Hose the sand down and it really keeps the birds cool. Cool feet mean cooler birds. I also run a giant fan too. You can also put ice cubes in their water, feed them cool treats like watermelon or other cold fruits. Frozen 1 liter bottles of water around the coop and run and they will snuggle up to these things if they need to. Even a pan of water to stand in keeps them cool.
