Hello from Hudson Valley NY

We have a small flock since August of 5 Easter Egger hens and 1 Austrolorp Rooster my son has named Rexy. My husband and 6 yr old built the coop in the back part of our detached garage and we just got our first egg yesterday! Needless so say there was alot of shouting, excitement, and an egg sandwich split between my 3 and 6 yr old. My son said it was soooo good - then asked if we could get a cow - I said no!
