Hello from Idaho!

Well hello, "neighbor"! We're over on the rural east side of Nampa! ^_^
Oh yay! Not too far at all.
I’m always glad to connect with other chicken enthusiasts who are nearby.
That way if we ever wanted to get birds from each other we can.
I’m trying to get a feel for what breeds people in our area are interested in.
I really like Naked Necks/Turken.
I have one friend that hates them and another friend that thinks they’re great lol.
I also like bantam Cochins and plan on getting Speckled Sussex, Australorp, and Partridge Rocks soon.

Oh my, we saw our first Turken a couple months ago... Couldn't stop laughing! Was the most bizzare bird we've seen following her owner around! Haha

Hubby loves the Polish and silkies (no silkies yet though). We have a speckled Sussex that I dont think would care for the silkies hanging around. Shes a great chicken though! Friendly, VERY talkative (actually, shes just a complainer. Lol), great layer, and would make a good mama.

The other girls are:
Ameraucana
Barred Rock
Silver Wyandotte cross
Ameraucana cross
cochin bantam cross
Silver laced polish

And 2 more 15 week white crested polish I could have bet money were both roos, but the community here so far is saying hens! I'll take it! :)

Hello! I've quietly poked around on BYC for a couple years now without officially diving in, but here I now am!

We have flock of 7 girls (Kate, Hannah, Dany, Eric(a), Big Bird, Blondie, and HeyHey) who are great layers, and follow you throughout the yard to see what you'll get into next, and what they can get out of it!

We've recently added a new 'wing' (run) to 'cluckingham palace', and are working to beautify and improve accommodations!

My husband also picked up two new polish created chicks a couple months ago, to which I think I'm 90% sure are both roos. Yay straight run!

Looking forward to talking with you all!

Hello fellow chicken peeps! ❤️ I also had a couple white crested black polish hens that were straight run that turned out to be Roos. They went to live on farm out in mountain home with some friends. Cheers and happy chickening!

Hi my name is Misty & I live in Idaho Falls/Ammon. We have 4 chickens that we absolutely love! Two are full grown hens & then we have 2 chic's that are about 4 months old. One is female and the other is a male. We were wanting another hen to add to the family so I got some eggs from a friend and Maybelline ended up hatching 2 cute little peeps. She is so proud! She's the best mom! Unfortunately in Ammon we can't have a rooster. I am trying to find the male a good home. He is so cool and very pretty. He has not started crowing yet but probably will anytime. I'm wondering if anyone may want him? I would just give him to someone who would be good to him. I'm told by my friend who gave us the eggs that he is a mix of blue laced red wyandotte with lavender rooster. If anyone is interested I can send pics of him
