We're getting back into raising chickens after a 25yr hiatus. Used to raise 100 Cornish crosses a year to stock the freezer. Always had some geese(Touloose) and ducks running around so we didn't have to mow the grass every week.
We recently decided to get back into raising some good ol' farm chickens as we have been disappointed with the store bought eggs and fryers we've been buying. So................ as of yesterday we are the owners of 50 Cornish X's, 10 RIR, and 5 Brocks. They'll have lots of room to roam as we built a 30x60 pen and had an old 12x20 shed for the coop. Now if the weather will cooperate so we can get them out of the basement, cold and snowy here in the mountains.
