Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.

I'm located in East Central Illinois and just got my first chicks! I received 5 chicks in the mail (Buff Orpington, Barred Rock, Black Australorp, and two Easter Eggers) and got two from a local source (White Crested Blue Polish (hopefully- could be a WC Black) and Araucana). All seven chicks have been happy in their brooder and have been eating and drinking well.
