Hello everyone my name is Bill and you may get posts from my wife Heather. We are long time searcher of the forum here and realized we needed to join! lol We had planned on getting chickens when we moved from in town but were caught off guard when the wife helped the ASPCA and local shelter rescue a flock. Now were playing catch up and hoping our learning curve isn't very steep as we help these birds out. I can say I have really enjoyed having them, there interesting to watch and in the time since we've had them they are putting weight back on and growing feathers back in their bald spots. We just had some chicks hatch and my daughter is very excited about that but she was hoping to use it as a 4H project but she didnt sign up for chickens (I think we will be busy enough with horse and pony, rabbit, and the dogs lol)Thanks to everyone for their invaluable information as we learn to deal with our new family additions. I do know the chickens make my girls happy and that in turn makes me happy. Y'all have a great day!!
