Hi, all. I've just joined BYC, though I've been lurking and reading posts for a while now! I have wanted chickens for ages, and last summer we finally purchased a home with a little bit of land and a lack of regulations prohibiting chickens. We brought home a dozen chicks last month and they're all flourishing and entertaining to watch, though I suspect that two of them are flourishing right into becoming roosters, despite Rural King's assurance that all were pullets We have four buff Orps, 4 EEs, and 4 mysteries. Our household also includes a dog, a cat and four children.
