Hello from Indiana!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you joined the flock!
I have chickens, ducks, and geese together. The male mallard doesn't get along with 3 of the geese, but he does get along with one of the geese, and none of the chickens. My roosters don't get along with the ducks or geese, but my hens get along with everyone.
 
I have to agree with you on the roosters! Sometimes They don't even Like me lol! But in about another two months I'll be adding a whole new set of chicken (6) and that should be interesting! But I can all ready tell I'm going to need to expand my run and add another coop. I have two coops already! But I love having the flock I have! I don't understand why everyone doesn't have chickens! It really saves goon my grocery shopping and I have extra to sell!
How is raising a goose? I've heard they can be vary protective of your property? I'd love to add to my mix flock!

My geese aren't very protective. The only protecting they do is honk when someone comes up the driveway. All of my geese are very friendly- we hand-raised them. I would recommend geese to a mixed flock! They are also great lawn mowers, which is awesome.
 
As Soon As Indiana lifts the ban on avian trade I am going to get a couple. As I have just lost a baby chick today and I'm heart broken but I've always wanted a goose. Do you recommend a breed?

That's sad to hear sorry :( How are the others getting on?
 
We Lost two MoRe And We have seperaTed them so we will see within the day how the others pan out. They seem to be pooping with specks of blood. Going to get everything I can to help heal them and prevent anymore loss. Thank you for support!

I think Emben is a great breed. It's pretty quiet, unlike the Chinese Geese.
