Welcome to BYC! It's great to have you.

Good luck with your egg! If it hatches you will need to get some buddies for it. Chickens do not do well alone and especially chicks raised alone end up funny in the head. I did the same thing as a kid, incubated two eggs, one hatched, I tried to raise it alone and the hen ended up absolutely CRAZY. She would attack you like a cockbird. Most aggressive chicken I've ever had.
