It's been a year and a half since we got my initial chicken flock, and I am really glad we did! Can't tell how much backyardchickens.com helped, it is really great to have such an amount of knowledge shared with us. Thanks everyone!
I live in northern Italy, with my wife and three children (8 - 6 - 2 years age), which are very enthusiastic about owning chickens. We currently have a flock of around 40 chickens, mainly Polish unbearded bantams and Silkies, and a few German bantams. We also have 4 rabbits which work as lawnmowers.
