Hello everyone! I'm Tammy and my husband and I have a hobby farm here in East Tennessee outside of Knoxville. We purchased 11 acres a couple of years ago and have since adopted two each of llamas, alpacas and miniature horses, and one american guinea hog. We are in the process of building a new house at the farm, but you all know how that story goes: 3 months past the scheduled finish date and we haven't even put our old house up for sale yet~
This will be my first experience with chickens, but my husband grew up with them. We currently have 30 chicks and 3 keets in three seperate brooders. We are also in the process of fencing in 1/4 - 1/2 acre run for them and have an 8x12 shed being delivered soon which we will be transforming into their coop. In June, we have a couple of geese and ducks who will be arriving from Ideal Poultry and McMurray.
I'm really excited about the chickens! I even ordered an incubator and have some chocolate orpington eggs arriving this week
I'll have lots of questions!
