Just wanted to say "hi". I'm new to having chickens and just got our chicks 2 days ago. We have 2 buff orpingtons and 2 barred rocks.

Aww look at that smile on your daughters face, its priceless. She is so happy checking on the chicks. Congratulations on the new flock. Its time to start building a hen house as they grow up so fast.

Welcome & Congratulations!

That is one very happy little girl you have there and some adorable little babies!

As you have already received links to some good starting points, I will just wish you all the best.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share more pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

HI, I'm in Independence and just getting started on this journey. Am trying to locate some June or late May chicks as my plans were for next spring, but getting itchy to dive in.
