We aren't completely green at the whole chicken thing, but I'm new here 
Our suburban flock is small and spoiled rotten. We have 2 cornish X's, 2 RIR hens, 3 baby Orps, and 1 baby Easter Egger. Our children and neighbors' children have seen us adopt babies, lose babies, butcher meat birds, as well as raise wonderfully happy & healthy birds that follow us like puppies. It's been an eye opener for me, a lifelong suburbanite, and a blast from the past for my hubby, a South Dakota born & bred farm boy. With his encouragement we're reminded to keep emotional attachments in check, LoL.
So glad to join other chicken enthusiasts here; looking forward to poking around your forum to learn even more!
