Hello BYC.
I am new to chickens and I really appreciate this forum....I have learned so much just lurking.
Our new babies arrived yesterday from Welp Hatchery. We ordered 27 and received 34. Two were dead when we opened the box and two died the first day but the remaining 30 look perky and healthy.
We have Buff Orp hens, Acacauna hens, Black Austrolorp hens, Road Island Red hens, Blue Wyandotte hens, a Black Jersey Giant roo, and 10 slow grow broilers for meat.
We are three....me, my wonderful husband and a miracle little girl who is three years old. We just moved to Kansas and are living in the country. We moved from a large city in California. We love this new life so much and look forward to hanging out with the "girls" out in the hen house and having fresh eggs and organic chicken in the freezer this winter.
I have tried to post pictures both on my page and on a post and I can't get it to work. I would love some detailed instructions on how to get the pics from "my uploads" to a post and to my page. Thank you!
Also, thank you all for this wonderful online place about chickens...I am grateful to be able to connect with like minded people who "no the ropes" so to speak about chickens.
Peace~~~
