    Hi All,

Im Bill, I have been lurking and reading here alot of late. Got interested in raising chickens again a few months back. We always had chickens growing up on the farm along time ago..... I was doing research and this forum kept coming up in most of the searches.

Like most it seems, I have built my first bator and have 51 "jumbo brown coturnix" eggs in it now. A test run if you will. I hope to have at least a few hatch. The eggs are from ebay and the USPS was not kind. All seems to be going well with temp and humidity so far anyway. I set them the 3rd so somewhere about the 20th I hope to have my first hatch. Kinda fired up about it....

I look forward to getting a chicken flock established this year as well. Just a dozen or so hens and a rooster. My lovely bride of 28 years would like something large, pretty and friendly to the grand kids. I really like blue lace red Wyandottes. I saw pix of Bad Medicine's birds and was more than impressed.

Im sure I will be reading posts, shopping for eggs and asking questions from time to time, Thanks, Bill
