Hi there,
This is my first spring with chickens! I just bought five chicks from Atwoods, today, and they are probably Golden Laced Wyandottes. I am very excited as I think this is a gorgeous breed. I also have ten heritage RIRs ordered for the end of this month from a local breeder. They will be straight run so I am hoping to keep the RIR as my only roosters and hopefully hatch a few for next year. I look forward to reading the forums! Have a great day!

Good luck with your chicks. A rooster per ten hens is sufficient. Too many roosters and the hens get overbred/damaged.
