First birds this year. 8 weeks into the experience and love it! Anyone else in the area to meet up, trade insights, see each other's coops, and potentially trade chicken-sitting on vacations?
My flock: 4 regular sized birds (though if 2 are males like I think they are, it'll be 2 regular sized birds) that are 8 weeks old, healthy, and settled into the outdoor coop and run and 2 silks that are still being brooder-sheltered in the garage.

how are they doing? Did you see raccoons when you first put them out? We're building coop and a little nervous about them
