I became attached to a chicken in highschool. Her name was Cluck. Unfortunately we had a jealous German Shepherd.Now I am married and have two teenagers in my house as well as three younger children. Oh how the years fly by.... We moved out to the country last year and this spring I went to Tractor Supply and purchased 6 pullets. I think I have three Golden Comets, one white Leghorn and two white Plymouth Rocks. The leghorn just started laying last week at about 4 months old! Wow! I think I am more excited than the rest of my family but they alll were pretty intrigued. My six year old son has been eating each egg as it is layed because it was " his " chicken that layed it!
