I've raised Buff Orpingtons for years and they are a wonderful breed; very hardy, friendly and gentle (my children and granddaughter made lap pets of them), good layers of large brown eggs, and they do go broody fairly frequently and make brooders and mothers when they do. Good luck in getting your BOs.
