I am so excited and happy that I found this forum :)

I have had chickens before, mostly for meat and that was 6 years ago! Now we live in the outer skirts of Tallahassee and have plenty of room for my beloved chicken that I've missed so much! I just recently ordered an Xtra small rabbit hutch, which I will be using for the chickens to lay eggs and sleep, they will be out and about in the fenced in grassy area all day. Miss the clucking and can't wait to pick up a flock of girls :)

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us. I hope that you enjoy your chicken-keeping renaissance!

Best wishes

Glad you are back with chickens. I think people get "infected" with it and can't get it out of their system. Will a very small rabbit hutch be large enough for a flock of chickens.? One chicken leads to another and before long - wall to wall chickens. lol.

Thank you all :)

I won't use the rabbit hutch much and for too long, but only for roosting and nesting, for a few weeks, until hubby builds me a bigger coop. Infected is not the word, I love Chickens! Lol
I won't hold more than 4 or 5 though. That's enough for us. I love this forum, so many nice people!

I think I am holding off on getting chickens for now. Will build the big coop first. Can't stuff that many into that mini rabbit hutch.Lol
