Just for information purposes, if you can legally keep chickens in your township/ town and the dogs come on your property and hurt them, the dog owner is responsible for damages in this state.

Legally, if their dogs are attacking your livestock on your property, you may kill the dogs, although it shouldn't come to that.
 
Hi! May I ask where in Lancaster are you? We just moved to East Hempfield and got a letter from the township yesterday saying we have to get rid of our three old hens.
