I just wanted to say HELLO!! I just began my chicken adventure almost a week ago. I have 8 Silkie eggs, 8 Buff Brahma eggs and 4 Cochin eggs although we aren't sure these are actually fertilized. I opted for the dry incubation method and hoping for the best! After this hatching I want to hatch frizzles. I am excited about my new venture.

Thanks Kate, today is day 4 and I added a fan to my Little Giant 9200 incubator... i have an infrared sauna so i warmed it up for me and the eggs so they wouldnt cool down while i had things unplugged. After i started the fan up i changed my temp from 101.5 to 99.5ish and then my humidity dropped to 15% from 23%. I am dry incubating but that freaked me out so i added a bit of water and it jumped to 33%. I am going to candle on day 7 and see what i have and again on day 14 if necessary. I am trying to remain calmly excited.
