My name is Gretchen Strawn. My husband Al and I just finished building our chicken coop and will be bringing five chickens home this weekend! So far we are adopting two color pack pallets and a color pack rooster, all are about five months old. We will add two more pullets soon. Our coop is set up for five. We built the coop inside a corner bay of our pole barn to protect them from the winds that we get here. Within the pole barn, they will have a 12‘ x 12‘ fenced in area for scratching and stretching their legs. In the spring we will add a covered fenced in area that they will have access to through a wall in the pole barn. We are very excited, and Receiving lots of support and advice from our farm neighbors.
