I talk to my ladies also! I see nothing wrong with that.I’m a newish chicken mom from Lehigh Valley, PA, not too far from Allentown. I currently have 2 Roosters, 31 hens and 15 new chicks that I just hatched Sunday/Monday. I have an assortment of Whiting True Green and Blues, Wyandottes, Black Stars, Midnight Marans, Ameraurcana (McMurray version), barred rocks, Easter eggers, a black Jersey giant, Welsummer and a few others. Not sure what my boys are, as I only ordered females, but they’re good boys and not aggressive. They’re all almost a year old. I wanted a variety of different egg colors and they do just that! We’ve had a few light brown leghorns and the last one passed away a few years ago at the age of 9, still laying eggs. Moved and got some more land and now we’re back at it again. I love them all and their crazy personalities. I’m the weirdo that goes out and has conversations with them every day, which is my therapy. I’ve been reading posts for awhile and finally forced myself to sit down and relax and join the community!
Love it. I sing to mine also.Welcome to BYC! I'm going to one up you- I sing to my birds. It sure encourages my roosters to harmonize. Post a few pictures and we'll try to identify your roosters' breeds.
