New to the forum. Just finished my chicken coop and headed to an Amish Auction tomorrow ( Sat morning) to buy a few chickens. Don't know which kind I will wind up with yet but have a good idea of which ones I am looking for. Have enjoyed reading the forums with all the neat tricks, ideas and photos about growing chickens in town. Looking forward to reading more great threads

Welcome to BYC! The Amish are great people and will sell you great chickens. They always do things "the right way" and will stand behind their products. When we lived in Tennessee we had many Amish friends who we purchased the most beautiful dining table w/8 chairs and A china cabinet from. Made of real solid oak and so cheap it almost felt like stealing. Checked out similar furniture in Nashville store and they wanted almost $5K for what we had purchased.
